Since their launch, Kyle Jenner’s lip kits have been consistently in demand.
But that demand is apparently leading people to turn to the dark side of the law. According to TMZ, reports from the Better Business Bureau state that customers are demanding answers after various products they ordered from the ranger were missing when they opened boxes.
According to reports, customers are blaming the “highly recognizable” packaging as a target for thieves. It is unclear whether thieves are acting at people's doorsteps or while the boxes are in transit.
The boxes the products arrive in are quite distinct. A white box is adorned with drips of black and the brands lip icon features heavily on the underside.
Kylie's people have pledged to minimize the problem by making the labeling more low key.
The lip kits have also gained notoriety for their similarity to much cheaper brands.
Beauty blogger and industry professional Stephanie Nicole recently researched the ingredients of both Kylie’s product and its competitor, ColourPop’s Ultra Matte liquid lipstick.
She found that the two products were almost identical. There is approximately a $23 price difference in the two products.
