Healthy skin is a combination of both good products, eating the right foods and most importantly, knowing what is best for your skin type.
In the first of a five-part series, we look at top tips for combating oily skin.
Foods that benefit oily and blemished skin.

Carrots are filled with vitamin A, which is a fantastic anti-acne ingredient.
Grapefruit is great for helping rebalance the skin.
Kiwi fruit is filled with enzymes, which help to clear the skin.
Cleansing & Moisturising.
Over cleansing is bad for every skin type.
Cleanse the skin morning and night with a mild and gentle pH balanced foaming cleanser, glycerin soap is considered a great way to stop your face from being shiny. Facial scrubs are a no-no on oily skin.
Follow the cleanser with an alcohol and acetone free toner.
Oil and moisture are two very different things. Use a moisturizer that is light and oil-free, water-based one will work best.
Homemade Treatment

An egg yolk mask dries out the skin and is an easy fix for reducing shine. Simply apply the egg yolk with a cotton pad on to oily spots. Leave for 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water.
Clay or mud masks are also a great way to reduce oiliness.
Make Up
Apply an oil-free, mineral powder makeup base or a water-based foundation.Always opt for powdered blusher rather than cream and the same for eyeshadows. Also remember to dust translucent powder two or three times throughout the day.
Other Tips
Wash makeup brushes and applicators regularly.
Wipe mobile phone with alcohol wipe daily.
Try not to touch your face.
