The beauty industry is buzzing this season: from 'heart hair' to 'aquarium nails', there's a lot of trends to familiarise yourself with.
Although brightly coloured rainbow locks have been around for a while, there's a new take on the trend and it's called opal.
Put simply, opal is a subtle blend of the bright colours you'll see in rainbow hairstyles.
Think muted pastel shades of purple, pink, blue and green and it's just so PRETTY.

Pop Sugar about how to get the look and judging by social media, this style is spreading fast.
"First, I lighten the hair to a pearl hue. Then, I layer on bright colors. The result is a washed-out version of the sand art look" said the hair colour expert.
