We're all about the expert tips when it comes to applying make-up and this one might be our favourite yet. The applicators that come with makeup palettes are often discarded as they don't work well for putting on eyeshadow but there's actually a clever way to put them to use. According to one expert, they're brilliant at perfecting your eyeliner. Tim Quinn, makeup artist extraordinaire who trained with THE Pat McGrath (a name familiar to all beauty nuts) also works as a celebrity make-up artist and it's fair to say he knows his make-up inside out. He chatted to Refinery 29 and explained why he thinks the applicators are the key to getting good eyeliner game: “They’re really easy to hold and give you that diffused smoky look, not a high drama,

Interestingly, Tim also made the point that the sponge tips enable the applicators to disperse eyeliner in a way brushes can't. Having tried this one out, it works like a dream and it's the way forward for smudgy eyeliner perfection.
