Amber Heard allegedly seeks restraining order from a violent Johnny Depp

Reports are emerging that Amber Heard showed up to court with a bruise on her face claiming Johnny Depp had physically assaulted her.

According to TMZ, Heard showed up with her lawyer and presented photos that indicated that Depp had been abusive throughout their marriage. TMZ also claims that Heard said Depp had smashed an iPhone into her face. Depp’s lawyer Laura Wasser says the Through The Looking Glass star has been out of town since Wednesday promoting his new film. Heard has asked for a temporary retraining order claiming there’s an immediate threat of harm.

Earlier this week the news broke about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp seeking a divorce. Just a few days after the death of Johnny's mum, they announced their split, citing irreconcilable differences. The actress filed for divorce just a year of marriage and now Johnny has issued a statement of his own. According to E!Online, the actor's rep released the following statement:

"Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly."

The pair reportedly never agreed a prenuptial agreement. Heard is apparently asking for spousal support, but Johnny has asked the judge to reject her request.
