Coronation Street Actress Reveals Details of Marriage Proposal

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh is on "cloud nine" after her boyfriend Dan Hooper asked her to marry him. The couple, who have been dating for seven months, got engaged last week. Personal trainer Dan had everything planned in advance, he asked Kym's dad for permission to marry his daughter and told his partner to pack warm and casual clothes for the weekend.

  He then brought her to a Manchester hotel to pop the question before jetting off to Amsterdam for a celebratory weekend break. Kym told OK! Online that they had a fantastic time: "we just wandered around the city in our own little bubble of happiness and did some Christmas shopping". The mother of three revealed that both her children and her parents are delighted by the news. "My children are ecstatic because they adore him. "All my parents have ever wanted was for someone to look after me because I'm their princess and they know I've found a supportive partner in Dan" said the 38-year-old. This will be Kym's third marriage, she was previously married to actor Jack Ryder of Eastenders fame from 2002 to 2009. Kym tied the knot with actor Jamie Lomas in 2012 and they parted ways last year. The actress has four children and Dan has one daughter from a previous relationship with Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring.
