Noel Gallagher is at it again.
Speaking in an interview with NME magazine, Gallagher turned on pop sensation Ed Sheeran, saying he couldn’t live in a world where Ed Sheeran headlines Wembley.
The former Oasis guitarist, who is known for his outspoken rants, told NME:
"I don’t think I can live in a world where that’s even possible. When you hear that kind of polished pop and then there’s a ginger guy with a fucking guitar it seems subversive, but it’s fucking not."
The news comes following Sheeran’s success at selling out three dates at the 80,000 capacity venue.
Ed, ever the gentleman, decided to respond to the insult and rant in the best way possible.
Taking to twitter, the singer-songwriter responded to early reports of the comment with one swift reply:
It’s clearly not a shared sentiment either, with
ticket registration for Ed’s exclusive show in Whelan’s going live this evening.
Ed was also announced as a performer at this year's Grammy Awards. The The singer-songwriter is nominated for three awards at this year's ceremony, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for his second studio album 'X', which was released last year.
