Cristiano Ronaldo is believed to have split from his girlfriend of three-years Irina Shayk.
The model was noticeably absent from the recent Ballon d'Ór ceremony where Ronaldo received the prestigious award and has since unfollowed the footballer on Twitter.
According to the
Evening Standard, the couple's relationship came under pressure when the 29-year-old fell out with Ronaldo's mother over Christmas plans and they have since called it quits.
Shayk's representative has said that her absence at the football awards was "because of work commitments" and declined to comment on rumours of a split.
The model is currently on holiday in the Maldives and has posted several photos of her idyllic break on Instagram.
