
Dolores O’Riordan was arrested by gardaí this morning following an alleged incident on a flight from New York to Shannon.
According to RTÉ News, a female flight attendant was allegedly assaulted just before the plane touched down. She is said to be in hospital with a suspected fractured foot.
It is alleged that O'Riordan also head-butted and spat at a member of the gardaí, who were called out to the airport.
The Cranberries singer was arrested and taken to Shannon Garda Station for questioning. After being assessed by a doctor, she is said to have been taken to the Mid-West Regional Hospital in Limerick.
O’Riordan is best known for being the lead singer of The Cranberries who were responsible for hits including Zombie, Linger and Dreams.
The Limerick native is said to be working on her third solo album after deciding not to return as a mentor to The Voice of Ireland.
