One Direction have announced November 23 as One Direction Day, or 1D day as devoted fans may refer to it.

The day is to include a seven hour live broadcast dedicated to the band’s extremely loyal fan base.

A number of items will feature in the broadcast including fan-made videos and special celebrity appearances.

The boys themselves have also hinted that they will feature in a few sketches written especially for the event.

Clearly enthusiastic about the upcoming event, the boy band made a quick video explaining how they came up with the concept.

Jumping up and down and pushing one another, they acted their usual mischievous selves.

Fans will also be able to interact with the broadcast which is sure to delight millions of One Direction devotees.

Harry said, “We’ve decided to give back to all the fans that have supported us”.

“1D Day is all about giving back to our amazing fans for supporting us for the past three years. When we suggested it we never thought anyone would let us loose live all day – we cannot wait," added Liam.
