If you’d thought that former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly had left all that drama behind her, you’re wrong.

It has been revealed that the actress, best known for playing Becky McDonald in the popular soap, has got married in secret.

 

Katherine and Ryan have been together for two years.

Katherine apparently wed her boxer beau Ryan Clark in the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas last week, unbeknownst to her friends or family.

She told Hello! magazine:  “I love going to other people’s weddings but I have never desired a big white wedding for myself and it has never been put on me as a pressure, an expectation... The day was everything we hoped it would be – no fuss, low-key, sunshine and just us.”

 

She played Becky McDonald in Coronation Street.

The 33-year-old star added: “We’d been laughing and joking all day and then suddenly everything seemed to stop and we tried to get the words ‘I do’ out without becoming emotional wrecks. It was awesome. I’ll never forget that moment for the rest of my life.”

Since leaving Corrie, Katherine has taken up a leading role in ITV period drama Mr Selfridge alongside Jeremy Piven.
