Well, to say we were a little shocked when we discovered that Spencer Matthews was dating Stephanie Pratt is an understatement. However, the pair have now confirmed they have gone their separate ways.

Matthews in an interview with New magazine confirmed that he and the Hills star are completely over and that he is "100% single".

"I'm 100% single now," he told the magazine "Stephanie has gone back to Los Angeles. It was always going to be a holiday romance.

"We are very fond of each other, but it was a ticking time bomb. We always knew it would be short-lived, so we purposefully didn't allow ourselves to fall into the depths of a relationship."

He also described the relationship with Pratt as a "ticking time bomb" due to the long distance aspect; Pratt lives in LA while Spencer continues to live in London.

The pair were first romantically linked early this summer and despite popular belief that reality TV world was imploding, confirmed their relationship in July.

According to Digital Spy however, Matthews has been spotted with his ex, Louise Thompson.
