Miley Cyrus has finally spoken out about her split from fiancé Liam Hemsworth saying “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
The singer opened up about her relationship during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show when the television host asked her about it.
The couple in happier times before their split.
She replied: “I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one. That’s kind of where I am right now.
“I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn’t really been focused on that... I’ve been kind of impressed with people and how much they’ve actually shown more respect.”
The Wrecking Ball star added: “I keep saying I’m the happiest I’ve ever been and that’s not even a dig, that’s just me because I really am genuinely happy, finally with myself, which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are.”
Miley then admitted that her new album, Bangerz, is about Liam: “The whole album is a story of that and I think it says that starting with Adore You and ending with Someone Else. I feel like you can really find this arc of growth.”

But while she seems very composed and mature about the whole thing the Daily Mail reported this morning that she sent the remainder of Liam’s belongings from her Los Angeles home to a charity shop without his permission.
A source revealed: “Miley wanted everything gone, so she’s sent Liam’s clothes off to a local charity store that benefits people with HIV and AIDS...Although she said she wanted to break up with him a long time ago, she is really hurt and heartbroken, which is understandable. She wants every remnant of him out of her life.”
