She might have taken her time but Alan Halsall and Lucy-Jo Hudson’s baby girl finally arrived over the weekend.

The soap couple seemed to be very happy to welcome their little one who was apparently nine days overdue.

The couple welcomed their baby girl at the weekend.

On Saturday morning Alan tweeted: “Lucy-Jo & I are delighted to announce the arrival of our little girl born this morning. Mother & baby are home with a very proud father”.

Baby Haslall, as she is being called at the moment, is the first child for the pair who tied the knot in 2009 having met on the set of Coronation Street.

Proud dad Alan will be swapping his award for nappies!
