Coronation Street star Kate Ford and her husband, television producer Jon Connerty, have decided to take a trial separation.

According to reports this morning the couple, who have been married for six years, are taking some time apart.

Kate Ford is said to have separated from her husband.

A source told the Sun on Sunday that they have simply grown apart and that there is nobody else involved.

Kate, who is best known for playing Tracy Barlow on the small screen, and Jon have a five-year-old son together called Otis.
