Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Face Backlash From Parents After Posting Photo Of Baby James

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have been hit by a wave of criticism from parents after posting a photo of their baby daughter at the weekend. To celebrate Father's Day, the Gossip Girl star posted a photo of Reynolds holding baby James with the caption "Happy Fathers Day! Since the day our baby was born, I've felt so strongly in my heart that you were most likely the father #ILoveYouSoMuchItsSilly".

Several of the star's followers were not enamoured with the sweet message though and instead focused on the method being used by Reynolds to carry the infant, pointing out that he was not following the proper instructions for safely supporting the baby. "A for effort. In all seriousness though, please never wear your baby like this!!! VERY UNSAFE. use a rolled up receiving blanket or an infant insert!" said one user. Another said: "It's not being worn correctly. Babies legs should NEVER be through the waist strap and bub is also was too smalL for this style carrier. It's really not that hard to read the instructions..." Lively has not yet responded to the criticism but many other users immediately jumped to the couple's defence, pointing out that they were still adjusting to life as a family. "Everyone is at one point first time parents. We all make mistakes! What made you perfect?! Give them a chance to be a human being."
