Singer Errol Brown Has Passed Away, Aged 71

His manager confirmed the sad news today.

Singer Errol Brown has died, aged 71, his manager has announced. 

He was best known as the frontman of British soul band Hot Chocolate.

Phil Dale said today that Brown had been battling liver cancer.

Brown topped the charts worldwide throughout the 70s and 80s with hits like You Sexy Thing, Every 1’s a Winner and So You Win Again.

In 2003 the singer was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire for services to popular music, while in In 2004 he received an Ivor Novello Award for his outstanding contribution to British music.
