Taylor Swift brought a Vogue reporter to her best friend’s wedding

When you think of a plus one for a wedding, a Vogue reporter doesn't exactly spring to mind. Well, that's exactly who Taylor Swift brought to her best friend's wedding back in February, and now two months later she has landed herself the front cover of the magazine. According to Mashable, Taylor brought reporter Jason Gay on a tour of her hometown, before inviting him to her best friend Britany Maack's wedding. Taylor and Britany are childhood friends and so Taylor was the Maid of Honour on the day.

I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they're married and I'm the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!

Britany requested that all guests leave their phones at home for the day, so that a media frenzy wouldn't happen due to Taylor's presence. Included in the article are moments from the big day with Taylor answering questions for the magazine while her friend was having the final adjustments made to her dress:

"Here on a basement floor of the country club, where the bride is adjusting her gown, Swift and I hear the cocktail party gaining steam. A pair of bridesmaids stroll by. Swift gives them high fives. "Honestly, I never relax, and I’m excited about being able to relax for the first time in ten years,” she says."
