Last week it was revealed that Ben Hardy is leaving EastEnders and now it has been confirmed that another of the show’s rising stars is also waving goodbye to Albert Square.
Khali Best, who plays Dexter Hartman, is leaving the popular soap and will be written out before Christmas.
A spokesperson confirmed the news, saying: “We can confirm that Khali Best will be written out of
EastEnders before Christmas. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Khali Best played Dexter Hartman in EastEnders for over a year.
Khali added: “I’ve had an amazing two years at
EastEnders, however I am now looking for a new challenge.”
The actor joined the cast at the beginning of 2013. A year later, he took home Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards.
He was then suspended from the show for three months
for “bad behaviour” which allegedly involved
an incident with a taxi driver.
