Last night the cream of the television crop put their glad rags on and headed out for this year’s National Television Awards in London but who won what?
Well, it was another great year for Geordie duo Ant and Dec who claimed awards for Best Entertainment Presenter (for the 13th time!) as well as the Landmark Award.
As if that wasn’t enough for the pair,
I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was also named Best Entertainment Programme.

Other successful shows included
Mrs Brown’s Boys (Best Comedy),
Paul O’Grady: For the love of dogs (Best Factual Entertainment),
This Morning (Best Daytime) and
Educating Yorkshire (Best Documentary Series).
Strictly Come Dancing claimed victory over the
X Factor to be crowned Best Talent Show while
Doctor Who saw off strong competition from
The Fall and
Homeland to take home the award for Best Drama.
Julie Hesmondhalgh won the award for Best Serial Drama Performance.
As for the individual winners of the evening, Benedict Cumberbatch's portrayal of Sherlock Holmes earned him Best Detective while Matt Smith received the award for Best Drama Performance for his role as
Doctor Who.
Julie Hesmondhalgh took home the award for Best Serial Drama Performance for her role as Hayley Cropper in
Coronation Street which was crowned Best Serial Drama. While
EastEnders lost out on that title, Khali Best (Dexter Hartman) won Best Newcomer.
