Ladbrokes has reportedly suspended all bets regarding Lucy Beale’s killer after a suspected storyline leak.
According to the
Metro, the bookies made the decision after a customer in London placed 25 bets on Jane Beale being the murderer, which resulted in her odds falling to 2/1.
Jane Beale is one of the favourites now.
Spokesperson Jessica Bridge said: “We smell a rat and have been forced to suspend betting on the
EastEnders whodunnit.
“Our mystery punter’s going to have to wait a while to collect her winnings if she’s right, but for the time being we’re not prepared to take any more bets.”
The identity of Lucy’s killer will
apparently be revealed during the live week in February which marks the 30th anniversary of the soap.
While this incident does suggest that something may have been leaked, nothing has been confirmed.
