Eastenders’ Nick Cotton Storyline Is Set To Take A Sinister Twist

There's a lot going on in Albert Square at the moment and one of the main storylines involves "Nasty" Nick Cotton. His return to the square has caused havoc for many residents and only last week, he caused a car crash which killed DC Emma Summerhayes and put his son's wife Ronnie in hospital. The plot is set to come to a head during the soap's 30th anniversary celebrations which take place next month. According to The Sunday Mirror, Nick's mother Dot will be arrested and she will confess to killing her son. However, the plot is set to feature lots of twist and turns and thing are a lot more complicated than they first appear. A source told the publication: “Having Dot accused of murdering Nick will be a real shocker for fans. "Everyone has been waiting for Lucy Beale’s killer to be revealed as part of the anniversary week – which will happen. Nick and Dot pictured together “But in this amazing twist, the soap will immediately be plunged into another big murder mystery. “The prospect of widowed pensioner Dot facing trial and being put behind bars for killing her own son is a huge storyline. “Producers have been plotting this storyline for over a year – ever since John Altman returned. “Eastenders has enjoyed a massive resurgence in recent months, and producers are convinced this murder plot involving Dot will help them keep ahead in the ratings’ battle with Coronation Street". This storyline is due to begin around the same time Lucy Beale's killer is revealed so we will be glued to our screens next month!
