Emmerdale Favourite to Meet Tragic End?!

Since the news broke of Sammy Winward’s decision to leave Emmerdale, speculation has been rife surrounding her character’s exit. Today the Daily Star Sunday reported that Sammy’s alter ego Katie Addyman was going to meet a “tragic end” next year. When questioned about the rumours, a show spokesperson told Digital Spy: “We don’t comment on speculation regarding future storylines.” While that may be true, the response does suggest that there may be something to the claims. Sammy as Katie alongside Kelvin Fletcher who plays her onscreen love interest Andy Sugden. Earlier this week it was announced that Sammy would be leaving the soap. A statement said: “Sammy Winward will leave Emmerdale in 2015 after playing Katie Addyman for 13 years. “Her decision to pursue other acting opportunities gives the writing team the opportunity to create a sensational, not-to-be missed storyline for her exit.”
