A new survey has revealed that Amy Huberman is the girl that most Irish guys (53.5%) would like to kiss under the mistletoe. Rosanna Davidson took second place with 13.9% of the vote while Kathryn Thomas took third place (11.8%).
Meanwhile, the ladies opted for rock star hunk Bressie (38.8%), beating sporting hero Brian O’Driscoll who came in a close second at 27.3% and Johnny Sexton, who got 22.4% of the vote.
25.1% of survey respondents said they would like to see Miriam O Callaghan dressed up as Mrs Claus, followed closely by Minister Joan Burton TD on 24.4%. George Hook, meanwhile, is the favourite for dressing up as Mr. Claus (38.8%), followed by Vincent Browne on 26.4%.

When asked what your dream Christmas present would be, sentimentality went out the window, with practicality being the order of the day! Nearly 42% of Irish people say their dream Christmas gift would be winning the Euromillions, while 21.5% said they would like their mortgage or loan paid off.
The survey, carried out by Christmas FM, also revealed that family comes first during the festive period with 89.3% saying they prefer to spend Christmas with their family, instead of with their respective other or with friends.
The Christmas FM survey also revealed some further interesting insights about Christmas in Ireland:
- The Irish song ‘Fairytale of New York’ by The Pogues and Kristy MacColl has been voted the best Christmas song of all time (46.6%)
- The classic movie ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ has been voted the best Christmas movie of all time (25.3%), with Elf coming a close second (23.7%)
- Turkey has been voted the favourite part of Christmas dinner (48.7%), while Christmas pudding proved unpopular with only 15.1% saying it was their favourite part of the festive meal.
- And, last but not least, the Christmas jumper remained a solid favourite as 56.6% of respondents said it is theirfavourite Christmas outfit
