We hate to be the bearer of bad news (boys) but Sharon Ní Bheoláin is planning to leave the Six One. The RTÉ newsreader, who has fronted the show for eight years, has revealed that she is on the lookout for another job. When asked whether it was a position for life, she told the Irish Mirror: “It’s been a very enjoyable experience, but I’m looking for something new.” While the 42-year-old isn’t handing in her notice just yet, we suspect it might only be a matter of time before she’s snapped up by another station. Newsreader Sharon is eager to do something new.
