New series – talent spotters and judges Dolores O’Riordan, Jamelia, Kian Egan and Bressie are searching for Ireland’s newest star. Series opens with the blind auditions.

Pearl Harbor – RTÉ Two (9.00pm)

Romantic drama, starring Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale and Cuba Gooding Jr. The reported death of a pilot during the Second World War leaves his girlfriend seeking comfort in his best friend best friend – until he turns up.

The Hangover – RTÉ One (9.30pm)

Comedy, starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis. Three men on a stag weekend in Las Vegas wake up after a night on the tear and must retrace their tracks to find out what happened.

Good Will Hunting – BBC One (11.05pm)

Critically-acclaimed drama, written by and starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, alongside Robin Williams, Minnie Driver and Stellan Skarsgard. Troubled maths genius prefers to lead a normal life with his friends. He eventually befriends a psychologist who helps him come to terms with his talent.
