Home and Away favourite Lisa Gormley has opened up about her departure from the Australian soap.
The actress, who plays Bianca Scott, will be leaving our small screens in the coming weeks but has actually been away from the show for a matter of months.
She told
Digital Spy: “I’ve been away from the show for about six months now. At first it was hard, just like any change in life is – but it was my own choice to leave, so it was up to me to find my new path”.
Speaking about her final scenes, Lisa said it was an emotional time: “Once they had cut on the final scene, there were so many tears. They all did lovely speeches, but my speech was very short because I was very emotional!”
But her character isn’t finished just yet. Apparently she steps in to defend her husband’s family (the Braxtons) when somebody starts targeting them, despite the fact that they’ve recently split.
“She still cares immensely about the family, so she does step in and do something quite unexpected. Bianca wants to look after the brothers. She still loves Heath and that hasn’t changed, so she wants to make sure that her boys are okay”.
Lisa Gormley (Bianca Scott) has left Home and Away.
