The Irish Christmas was officially kicked off last night, as RTÉ brought the country one of the greatest The Late Late Toy Show's in years. After months of preparation the event, which was aired to those Irish folk away from home, went down without a hitch.
With some stand out performances, wonderful stories and great characters, the
Toy Show had many stand-out moments, however there was one surprise that stole the show.
There's an old saying 'never meet your heroes', however Ireland football fanatic Domhnall proved the theory wrong.
Ireland captain, Robbie Keane, is out of action at the moment having underwent surgery on an Achilles injury earlier this week. Tubs was asking fan Domhnall, who was concentrating hard on a game of FIFE 14, what he would say to the LA Galaxy man if he we there, and of course, Robbie arrived out on stage to surprise the young fan.
Domhnall’s reaction was television gold.
Hats off to all at RTÉ, what a show.
