Just when we thought we couldn't love Ellen DeGeneres she goes and does this...
Sarah Hoidahl is a waitress at a restaurant Ruby Tuesdays in New Hampshire. When serving a table she heard two female National Guard soldiers discuss their lunch, telling the waitress they didn't want anything too pricey as they weren't being paid due to the government shutdown.
In a random act of kindness, Sarah decided to pick up the $27.75 lunch tab and wrote the ladies a sweet note, which was then posted onto Facebook and within hours went viral.
Sarah, a single mother with a 15-month-old child, was brought to tears when Ellen squared up the tab and introduced a cheque for $10,000, telling the young girl repeatedly, "you're a good person."

Ellen also gave the 22-year-old a 50-inch television to ensure she watched the show.
