Are you feeling lucky?! The Longines Irish Champions Weekend takes place at two world class venues across one weekend, at Leopardstown Racecourse, Saturday 12th September and The Curragh Racecourse, Sunday 13th September.
This unique racing experience combines history, spectacle, glamour, excitement and prestige... and it's nearly here!
In addition to racing, the weekend also features the Goffs Champions Sale before racing on Saturday in Leopardstown and the Curragh Thoroughbred Trail before racing at the Curragh on Sunday, visiting some of the leading training facilities and Stud Farms. The Curragh Thoroughbred Trail offers racegoers a once in a lifetime chance to see behind the scenes of the head-quarters of Irish Racing.
Given the calibre of the racing, the style stakes are equally as high at the Longines Irish Champions weekend.
This year is the first running of the Longines Prize for Elegance and it is open to all race goers on the two days with a prize fund of over €25,000 to be won across the weekend.
Both male and female winners will bag an elegant timepiece from Longines' latest collection, as well as day shopping experiences from Ireland’s elite fashion houses including Louise Kennedy, Kildare Village, Louis Copeland and a 5-star Penthouse Suite stay at the Merrion Hotel.
Saturday’s style stakes kick off at Leopardstown racecourse on QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes Day. If you’re lucky enough to get spotted, title sponsor, Longines will present an elegant timepiece from their latest collection to the winning lady, while premier Irish fashion designer, Louise Kennedy will provide a €5k spend at her flagship store in Merrion Square.

The winning lady will also receive an overnight in the penthouse suite of the 5-star Merrion Hotel which includes spa treatment at Tethra Spa, a champagne breakfast and dinner in the award winning Cellar Restaurant with wine (value €4k).
However, the men can also win some fabulous prizes in the Longines Prize for Elegance – with the Prize for Elegance Man also being presented with a Longines timepiece well as a visit to master tailor and suit designer Louis Copeland where he will be suited and booted from head to toe.
The fashion parade continues on the Sunday at the Curragh racecourse for the Palmerstown House Estate Irish St. Leger day. Longines will again offer an exquisite time piece to the winning lady who will also receive a unique shopping experience at Kildare Village, worth €3,000, while the best dressed man will receive a Kildare Village voucher worth €2,000 and a Longines Watch.
