Forgetting to do this after you shower is really bad for your vagina

Major fail.

When flying around the house in the morning trying to eat breakfast, shower, get dressed and all the other bits and pieces that make up your morning routine, we all rush. It only takes a couple of minutes to dry off after showering but because it's usually BALTIC, we tend to rush that part. If this sounds like you, it might be wise to spend a couple more minutes doing so because neglecting it can have a negative impact on your vaginal health. It increases the likelihood of developing a yeast infection and in conversation with Glamour, Jason James, M.D., medical director at Miami's FemCare Ob-Gyn, explained why. James explained that yeast thrives on moistness ( a horrible word we know) and the more moisture there is, the more chance of getting a nasty yeast infection.

“All women have yeast and bacteria present at all times in the vagina, but it is the imbalance of one over the other that results in infection". "Warmth, moisture, and friction can all lead to irritation and the potential changes in pH that increase favorability for yeast to overgrow and become a clinical infection".

Throwing on your clothes after a shower without drying properly means you're letting moisture do its thing, not ideal. Taking a minute or two extra in the bathroom to dry off “can go a long way in terms of yeast infection prevention" recommends the health professional.
