Australian scientists in the employ of CISRO, the country's scientific research organisation found that pear juice increased concentration, reduced memory loss and sensitivity to light and sound and even managed to slightly decrease the alcohol levels in the blood.
The Telegraph reports that the research concentrated on the Asian pear, but other varieties will now be teated to see if the effects can be replicated.
