Damp clothing doesn’t only have an impact on your special places.
Staying in moist clothes can also increase the risk of ringworm. According to The Health Site, Ringworm is a common fungal infection that affects the skin and nails. This infection again thrives in damp environments and is also highly prevalent on public bathroom floors and in public showers.
Being stuck in damp clothes also increases the likelihood of body acne. Heat and humidity cause you to produce more sebum (oil), which can result in a breakout if you are prone to spots.
Finally wearing damp clothing can also lead to sunburn. Wet clothes provide less UV protection. According to the World Health Organization report, garments that are over-stretched, wet, or worn-out may lose some of their protection properties.
Seems like something that’s entirely avoidable, living in Ireland and all. It’s recommended that you keep a change of clothes in the office and keep spares in your car too just in case.
Good luck and godspeed.
