This makes total sense as sitting together and talking can help forge a strong and lasting bond.

“I think sometimes couples numb themselves with lots of activity to avoid looking at the patterns that don't work so well or in the future could be unhealthy for them".Of course, with busy schedules, it can be difficult to set aside time and some couples prioritise it over others. Bernstein is of the opinion that while every couple is different, it is important to single time out for each other whenever possible. However, he does point out that no one can be forced into this and most couples will have an idea of what works for them.
