via Giphy"I've been a flight attendant for a little under 2 years for a regional airline that serves 3 of the US' major airlines. "I worked on 80 seater aircrafts with one other flight attendant and 2 pilots. "It's been a great experience, but today--I quit."Of the things Adrianne advised against she said... Don't take a seat in first class without a ticket as you will be forced to move. That's told us so. Don't drink the tea or coffee on the flight. Apparently, the water on the plane is... not so good.
"I personally would not drink the potable water from the aircraft. So the tea, coffee...I would avoid. The water isn’t so bad but how often do you really think those tanks are cleaned?"Do NOT try to join the Mile High Club. No matter how badly you want to be able to brag about doing it mid-air, the air staff KNOW what you're trying to do.
"We can pretty much see what everyone is doing on the plane for the most part. I would see two people going in the bathroom easily"Don't do a poo While this seems pretty much impossible to avoid, Adrianne says it's absolutely soul-destroying for air staff to clean up.
"Don't take a s**t on the plane. PLEASE. Sometimes I get it, you just have to go but damn, close the door behind you."Do NOT eat directly from the table trays in front of you. According to Adrianne, the cleaning of these trays are not taken very seriously, leaving plenty of germs and bacteria lying around. YUM.
"The overnight crew cleans the aircraft. But I would say very rarely".Don't sit near the back if you're afraid of turbulence. Apparently, the feeling of turbulence on a plane is always worse at the back. So sit up front y'all!
"Try to get a seat assignment near the front of the aircraft. Turbulence is always going to be worst in the back of the aircraft."Just a couple of tips to keep in mind before that next trip away...
