A granny has gone viral for her brutally honest Facebook comment to her granddaughter

Grandparents are known for their honesty. When it comes to getting an honest opinion there is no better person to go to than your grandmother. Be it a query about a life choice or something you are wearing, you can be guaranteed that they won't lie to you. This goes without saying that they will also impart their thoughts about you when you are least expecting them and also not asking for it. Again, especially about clothes or your life choices. For this grandmother, she's after going viral for a brutally honest and cutting comment she left under her granddaughter's Facebook photo. Chloe Gallacher posted a picture with the caption, "Finally a selfie without that daft dog filter," to which her grandmother Mary replied, "How stunning would you be if you lost w(e)ight xx". Chloe chose to see the funny side and replied, "Aw aye thanks very much nana!!!" and also said, "Dno whether to laugh or cry right now." Someone else got hold of the picture with the comment and posted it to Twitter and it got a massive response garnering over 6,000 likes and 9,000 comments.

The general consensus is that nearly everyone's granny would say the exact same thing with one person saying, "basically what my nanny said to me lmao" and another person added, "literally my nan". Another user compared the comment to their Grandma saying, "THIS IS SO GRANDMA and if there was 'you look a bit moody' it'd be auntie Ann."
