While the majority of the country will be dealing with harsh winds and rainfall this morning, those in Mayo will be greeted with the sight of snow. It is currently snowing out in the Castlebar/ Ballina area of which means extra care (and a few extra layers) will be necessary. And while we have no doubt it might be used as an excuse to get an extra day off ahead of the Christmas hols, poor Paddy the Postman was out delivering his letters this morning. He sent the below snap to the lads at JOE.ie who kindly passed it onto us. He also said that there have been a few minor accidents due to the icy conditions so if you are in that area, be prepared.
