When it come to talking turkey, chattering about cranberry sauce or gabbing about gravy, all we really want to do is get stuffed.  A new survey has revealed stuffing is the nation’s favourite food on Christmas Day. The survey was carried out on behalf of The City Bin Co, who also asked respondents which festive food they would bin first. It seems the traditional Christmas cake has fallen far out of favour and smoked salmon starter is an absolute no-go too.

The survey also asked respondents what part of Christmas most irked them, and found that it was "Bah Humbug" to crowded shops and long queues, closely followed by Christmas songs played in October and coffee flavoured sweets in assorted chocolate boxes. We may be living in a material world but thankfully we're not all material girls. Presents accounted for only 1 per cent of respondents' favourite thing about the season. A huge majority of 69 per cent reported time with family as the best part of Christmas, with an understandable 13 per cent ruled by their stomachs and opting for festive food.
