Met Eireann have issued weather warnings for the coming few days, however it seems like the brunt of the bad weather has already hit the Rebel County.
Numerous images of the country's worst affected areas have flooded social media accounts this evening, with the hashtag, #CorkFloods, beginning to trend on Twitter.
Images taken in the city show the extent of the flooding damage, with the majority being snapped just before high tide, which was expected at around 9pm this evening.
An Garda Síochána and AA Roadwatch have been updating their Twitter accounts with flooding information and road closures in various parts of the country.
People are being urged to stay in doors, and only venture out if necessary.
