KildareNow is coming in for a bit of a slagging after an 'April Fools' style prank post appeared on site.
People have been slating the story, which said: "Irish security forces have placed a ring of steel around the Allen area and road diversions are in place until further notice after a male calling himself Paddy Jihaddy said he had rigged the area with explosives and that he was renaming the locality the Hill of Allah."
Attached to the story was a photo of a local landmark with an ISIS flag perched on top.
They have issued an apology for the crass and insensitive nature of the post, and said the site had been 'hacked'.
