The amount of effort that went into this.
Planning a proposal is understandably very stressful and comes with a lot of pressure. How to catch the girl/guy off guard, while trying to be romantic.
It's tough enough at the best of times but more so if that person is expecting it.
But Troy Reddington put in so much effort that his girlfriend never saw the proposal coming. He replaced contents from a time capsule they had buried five years earlier with a note asking her to marry him.
According to The Daily Mail, Troy and Jennifer had been camping on Eagle Lake, Ontario when they decided to bury a time capsule containing their favourite songs, current mobile phones and hopes for the future.
Five years later, they were going back to that exact same spot to dig up the capsule and see what was in it, only Jennifer didn't realise that Troy had returned previously to the time capsule and swapped out all its contents for a note which read, "Will You Marry Me?"
Once she had retrieved the note, Troy got down on one knee and popped the question.
The best part is that Jennifer and Troy were filming the whole thing and so we get to see it as it happens. You'll have to bear with the video as it's 12 minutes long but if you just want to get to the time capsule and proposal part cut to 6 minutes.
It is VERY cute.
