The Luas Is Free This Evening For Anyone Wearing A Christmas Jumper

And us only after being talking about Christmas jumpers… While we may have just shown you an alternative to this year’s Christmas jumper (and really, you should check it out), there’s a surprise in store for anyone out and about in Dublin this evening. A World Record Attempt is kicking off on Dublin’s O’Connell Street today with the aim of gathering the most people wearing Christmas jumpers in the one place. The event officially kicks off at 3.30pm and thousands are expected to turn up decked out in festive jumpers.

The Lord Mayor will be on hand to keep the party going at 6pm when the Christmas lights will be officially turned on and on top of all that, the sound folks at the Luas are giving a free trip from 6pm until the last trams tonight for anyone wearing a Christmas jumper. Sure if that’s not an excuse to put one on (even though it’s still November) we don’t know what is! The World Record attempt is in aid of Debra Ireland.
