Thousands of people braced the Irish weather in Limerick and across the country this morning to take part in the Darkness Into Light fundraiser.
The 5km walk/run aims to raise awareness and money for Pieta House, an organisation which provides support for those affected by suicide.
One person also decided to share his own experience on Facebook and has received over 4,000 likes on his post already.
Tony Sheridan, who lost both his mother and his uncle to suicide, wrote about why he wanted to be involved in the event.

This was the post Tony shared this morning.
We would just like to say well done to all those who took part and especially to Tony for sharing his story with us.
