One day before Christmas, 25-year-old Elliot Shirback was feeling a little down.
Wanting to make him feel better, his mother Anne Dagget asked the young man what he wanted for Christmas this year.
The normally happy-go-lucky Elliot, who has Down Syndrome, told his mother he wanted a 'hundred Christmas cards'.
Anne took to Facebook to share his request, after warning Elliot it might be a little too late and that many people had so many other things to worry about.

It was not too late.
The Christmas wish was heard around the world, and a very happy Elliot has received over 1,800 cards to date.
Speaking to reporters, Shirback said: "It makes me happy. It's like a gift, like somebody loves and cares about you."
