WATCH: Enda Kenny was the ultimate embarrassing dad speaking about the Ryder Cup

Appearing on TV can be serious pressure, we understand. The worst case scenario is going on air and not having a clue about what you're talking about.

Unfortunately for our pal Enda Kenny, it seems like he wasn't totally prepared before he appeared on Sky Sports over the weekend when asked to comment on the Ryder Cup. Our country's Taoiseach made an appearance at the Irish Open to present Rory McIlroy with the winning trophy after his win, but it was while he was on the air that he made a slightly regrettable comment. Considering how the Ryder Cup and the K Club are inextricably linked, it was no surprise that our country's leader was asked about the golfing competition, but how he described it is the one thing that has left us a little bemused. The Ryder Cup, the men's golfing competition between teams from Europe and the USA was described by Kenny as a clash between Britain and the United States. AH ENDA.
