Cougar Town star Busy Philipps has announced the birth of her second child with an uber-arty snap on Instagram.

The snapshot shows Busy blurred in the background with a sneak peek of her newborn resting on her chest.

She captioned the photo, "So this happened..."

Busy and her husband Marc Silverstein welcomed their second child into the world on Tuesday evening, the Huffington Post reports.

"I can confirm she gave birth to a baby girl on July 2 who weighed 8.5 pounds," her representative said in a statement.

"Everyone is healthy and happy."

Busy showed off her bump last month. 

Busy previously spoke about how excited her four-year-old daughter Birdie was to become a big sister.

"She's actually incredibly helpful," the actress told the website in April.

"And she’s really understanding things. When I say like, "Mom can’t carry you right now because the baby in her tummy is pressing down on her bladder!" She understands what that means and she’s cool with it."
