Forget lazing about watching television, you want to get out on the road and do something memorable this weekend.

Here are a few suggestions…

1. The Westport Walking Festival

This weekend (April 18th to 21st) you can head along to this event which includes two walking trails, one mountain and another on flat land. Based in Westport, you will also be able to experience what this picturesque spot has to offer at night. One day costs you €40.00 while two costs €70, but it will be well worth it!

2. Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park

From Saturday, you can have lots of Easter-themed fun at Lullymore Heritage and Discovery Park. They have organised an Egg Hunt which will involve lots of clues and plenty of chocolate for those who are successful. You can also have some fun on the crazy golf course or visit the historic exhibitions. It really is a day out for the whole family.

3. Atlantic Tour Drive in Donegal

This is a self-drive which will cost you nothing and bring a smile to your face. It starts in Letterkenny. Then you can go to Ramelton, Milford and Carrigart. From there, follow the Atlantic Drive signs around the Rossguill Peninsula to Melmore Head which offers stunning views. Then head for Carrigart to Creeslough. The drive continues to Portnablagh and on to Falcarragh. Turn left for Kilmacrennan and back to Letterkenny.
