Coronation Street are going to be tackling a heartbreaking issue in the coming weeks when a character suffers a miscarriage.
Erica Holroyd (Claire King) has just told Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) that she is pregnant with his baby but she will soon be rushed to hospital with stomach pains.
According to The Sun, Nick will later break the news to his fellow residents that she has sadly lost the baby.

An insider told the newspaper: “Erica’s pregnancy was a shock for viewers but her miscarriage will be even more of a shock.
“This was initially seen as a chance for Corrie to explore the issue of older women coping with pregnancy.
“Nobody expected it to end this way. It’s one of a series of heartbreaking storylines lined up in the coming months.”
