Cheryl and Simon are back, and looking for some Irish talent.

Following the news that Cole and Cowell are to reunite as judges on this year’s series, The X Factor’s first round of auditions is set to hit Dublin for the first time since 2010. Auditions are already getting underway, visiting an unprecedented 43 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland in a bid to find “the next smash-hit singer”. Or the next Joe McElderry/Steve Brookstein/Leon Jackson.

The audition tour will travel to The Convention Centre Dublin this Saturday 5thApril as part of the main Open Audition Tour, which will be visiting 9 cities across the UK and Ireland. The tour also visited Cork on Monday 24th March and Belfast on Tuesday 25th & Wednesday 26th March via the smaller scale Mobile Audition Tour, which will be visiting a further 34 locations in total.

All any budding hopefuls need to do is turn up on the date and time specified, there is no need to apply beforehand.  If they impress The X Factor team with their vocals, they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of Simon, Cheryl and the other X Factor judges, when the judges’ auditions take place in summer.

Have you got what it takes?
