At the end of season three, we saw things beginning to fall apart for Frank both personally and professionally.
Questions are now swirling about the future but Dobbs remained tight-lipped on the subject.
He did, however, suggest that Frank was not going to get away from his problems easily.
“Oh, all politicians get their comeuppance at some point, but the question is whether they survive and come back for more,” he said.
“Frank in season three said 'I’m on the way out, I’m not going to stand for re-election', and then we discover by the end of the season perhaps he’s changed his mind.
“You can always expect the unexpected in politics,” he added, before saying that the show will go on as long as there is interest for it and ‘as long as we’re having fun with it’.
